statement
Drawing and painting has great healing power, I believe. At least, it seems to connect me with the universe in some elemental way, and contributes in an important way to my general well-being, and feeling of connectedness and growth. It's essential, and joyful to me to put brush, pencil or nib to paper (or to any other surface!).

Special project
july–aug 2007 Chanticleer Theater scene painting (preview Contra Costa Times)
I had an opportunity to do a really large landscape, 30 feet by 8 feet for a play, Same Time Next Year, which coincidentally was set in Mendocino, where I had been living for the past 2 years. The play dates are july 12–aug 3, 2007, Chanticleer Theater in Castro Valley, CA. Below you see my assembled panorama of the scene, with the frame of the window creating some interesting effects!
